Welcome to the Fall 2009 Hippodrome Billiards League.
Below, you can find the rules and schedule, as well as some links about the world of billiards.
Players should arrive at 8:45pm on game day to warm up if desired. Match listed first begins at 9:00pm.

LEAGUE RULES:
First Break will be determined by a one table length lag. Loser breaks thereafter.
Each match will be a best-of-three 8-ball format. 1 point will be awarded for each game won. If the match is swept (won 2-0), a bonus 3rd point will be awarded. If the match ends 2-1, the players will receive points accordingly.
Total Points will be used to determine Playoff seeding.
The top two finishers from each group will enter the Championship Bracket.
The other two players will enter the Consolation Bracket.
The first two rounds (round of 8 and round of 4) will still be best-of-three.
The finals will be best-of-seven.

Any disputes will be settled according to the language of these rules as interpreted by a member of the Hippodrome Staff. Any complaints regarding rule interpretation should be emailed to the Hippodrome Manager at mchippo@gwu.edu within 24 hours of the match. Be sure to include the score of the match at the time of the infraction and the outcome based on the decision made. The match will continue as ruled, but may be re-played at a later date if deemed necessary.
